Burns Mods v2.0.1 - Open Source Rewrite and Speedrun Collaboration

A landmark release: Burn's Mods is now fully open source under the GNU GPL-v3 license. This version is a complete rewrite of the entire project with significant new features, a new UI, and a collaboration with the speedrun community.

What's New in v2.0.1

New Features

  • Complete rewrite of the whole project
  • Added ability to Stop Mods without closing the launcher
  • Added ability to select game executable and run the game from the launcher
  • Added ability to connect to custom (private) server IP/Port
  • Added connection lost detection
  • In multiplayer, other players now render their hair braid in TRR I-III
  • Added links to Speedrun.com in launcher

Improvements

  • Updated UI theme colors and logo
  • Updated layout of launcher options, categorised

Compatibility

  • Added support for patches (TRR I-III patch 4 + 4.1, TRR IV-V patch 1 + 2 + hotfix)
  • Added ability to choose compatible patch for custom executable (must be named tomb123.exe or tomb456.exe)

Bug Fixes

  • Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements

Speedrun Collaboration

This release also marks a collaboration with the Tomb Runner team for the Perma-damage leaderboard on Speedrun.com. Head over to the Tomb Raider Remastered CE page to read the rules and submit your Perma-damage times.
