rc2 is out, and it's two fixes off the back of the first few days of the public test: Bacon Lara works in co-op, and saves made in a co-op session load properly.
If you haven't read the v3.0.0-rc1 notes yet, start there. That's where all of v3 is explained, the co-op, the native C rebuild, the in-game menus, the key bindings and how to get it running. This page is only what's changed since.
What's new in v3.0.0-rc2
Bacon Lara works in co-op
Atlantis has a room with a Lara made of meat in it who copies everything you do, which is a problem when there's more than one of you to copy. Now she works in co-op. The first person into the room claims her, and she mirrors them until they leave, die or pause. When that happens she picks the next player and starts mirroring them instead.
Saves made in co-op load alive
A save taken during a co-op session used to load as a level of frozen enemies, in single player or in a later session, and they'd stay frozen until their triggers fired again. The save now carries every creature as its owner holds it, so you load it and the level's alive.
How do I update?
It's portable, so there's nothing to uninstall. Download the new zip, extract it, and run trrm-v3.0.0-rc2.exe from the TRRM-v3.0.0-rc2 folder, with trrm.dll kept next to it.
Everything else is as it was in rc1: Tomb Raider I Remastered only, latest patch only, on Steam, GOG and Epic. The rc1 notes have the full setup steps.
Still a public test
rc2 is still a release candidate, not the stable build, and v2 stays up as the stable version while v3 is in test. Keep playing it to death, and when something major goes wrong, tell me in #feedback on the Discord. Include your level, what you were doing and who was in the session, it saves a lot of guessing.
