The team at World of Tomb Raider - LaraCroft.PL have taken their pocket-sized Lara Croft figurine around the world again, back to locations from across the games.
Starting in Egypt
They did the same thing during the TR25 celebrations, and the idea hasn't changed: "Adventure Everywhere", taken literally, by turning up at the places in person. First stop was Egypt, where mini Lara poked around the Valley of the Kings looking for undiscovered passageways near Tutankhamun's tomb, a nod to The Times exclusive level.
Then came a train from Karnak to Alexandria, which the team said was "fortunately quite calm—without any ninja warriors!" Nothing like Lara's Desert Railroad, in other words, just the views.
At the Giza Plateau they got Lara posing with the pyramids and joked that "if Lara wasn't the Tomb Raider, she could sell postcards!"
Venice and Greece
In Venice they went looking for Bartoli's Hideout from Tomb Raider II, made sure Lara had her speedboat for the canals, and shot her against the city's Renaissance architecture. Then it was on to Greece and the Meteora monasteries, home of the Tomb of Tihocan in the games, sat on top of those towering rock formations.
Shot on Location
None of it's digital manipulation, they travelled to each site and photographed it there, which is what ties the games back to the real places behind them.
